Impact/Purpose:

Presentation to the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) Titled: Cellular & Molecular Mechanisms of Toxicity for Session 'New Modalities, Mechanisms, and Methods in Neurotoxicity' August 2023

Description:

Over the past 15 years a battery of in vitro DNT NAMs has been developed. There is consensus that this DNT-IVB is ready for use in decisions regarding 1) screening and prioritization and 2) weight of evidence. Several case-studies of the use of DNT-NAMs now exist. These case-studies demonstrate that data from the DNT-NAMs can 1) speed decision making, 2) reduce costs and 3) contribute to health protective decisions. There is consensus that the science behind DNT NAMs will continue to evolve and improve.
