Impact/Purpose:
The impact of this research is a demonstration of how a decision tool created by Region 5 through collaborative translational research methodologies can facilitate collective decisions and be further refined to apply to different decision contexts.
Description:
The Dredged Materials Decision Tool may be able to help dredged materials managers and decision-makers across the Great Lakes region organize details for dredged materials beneficial use projects effectively. The tool and its outputs help describe and communicate the diverse sets of decision criteria, constraints, and benefits that are part of dredged materials management decisions. Presenting this to the Great Lakes Dredging Team gives the tool exposure to leading regional dredged materials managers.
