Impact/Purpose:

This project provides evidence-based support to a community in remediation to restoration to revitalization.

Description:

The City of Duluth is considering design alternatives for habitat restoration around Mud Lake, a bay on the St. Louis River. The project has been contentious, thus the City requested assistance with understanding the ecosystem service values of the site. To that end, MED provided technical support to identify and characterize the community values of the ecosystem services.
