High-Throughput Toxicokinetic Models and In Vitro-In Vivo Extrapolation (IVIVE)

Impact/Purpose:

This presentation will be given to the Board of Scientific Counselors, an external peer review committee comprised of academic, industrial and governmental scientists, to review and provide feedback on research being conducted in the Office of Research and Development, Chemical Safety for Sustainability Program. The presentation will highlight research, both ongoing and future, discussing the details of the scientific research while also describing the the short and long-term strategies justifying this work effort. The BOSC will, at the end, provide constructive feedback that ORD scientists will consider.

Description:

The presentation entitled "High-Throughput Toxicokinetic Models and In Vitro-In Vivo Extrapolation (IVIVE)" will describe efforts conducted in the strategic research area broadly entitled "Rapid Exposure Modeling and Dosimetry." In this output, in vitro toxicokinetic data, tools, and models are developed to enable the incorporation of toxicokinetics with in vitro toxicity testing data to perform risk prioritization. This presentation will describe ongoing efforts in this area and how these activities are responsible to stakeholder need.
