Impact/Purpose:
to present information
Description:
SMARTe will be developed in an overlapping phased approach. The first phase began in 2003 and focused on the collection of information and resources and the transfer of this data. This phase is ongoing as information and resources are updated annually. The second phase began in 2005 and consists of the development of interactive tools and templates. Approximately 15 electronic tools and templates will be available in October 2005. The final phase wil be completed in 2007. This is when all of the tools are brought together into a multi-criteria decision analysis so that revitalization stakeholders can evaluate different reuse options for a particular site or area. The SMARTe Technical Development Team also conducts a variety of outreach activities including webcasts, workshops, and conference presentations. Future focus areas include rural areas, mine-scarred lands, and methamphetamine sites.
