This is an invited lecture in an educational course co-sponsored by the American College of Toxicology and the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention.  From the course flyer: "This joint American College of Toxicology/Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention course is designed to provide a basic understanding in reproductive and developmental biology and principles of various testing approaches for reproductive and developmental toxicology, with strong emphasis on the practical application of these principles and interpretation of nonclinical safety data as well as risk assessment. The intended audience for this course includes industrial and regulatory scientists, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows."

Description:

This presentation for the ACT/SBDRP Practical Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology course provides a high level overview of basic male reproductive biology and male reproductive toxicology.  Topics covered include male reproductive anatomy, spermatogenesis, steroidogenesis, puberty, development, and male reproductive toxicants.
