EPA’s Incident Waste Decision Support Tool (I-WASTE) provides important information to support planning and response decision-making and consists of calculators to generate waste quantity estimates, databases of treatment and disposal facilities, and includes a quick reference to technical information, regulations, and guidance to address the safe and efficient removal, transport, and disposal of waste materials. The objective of the decision support tool is to help reduce restoration time and expense by providing quick access to information that will inform the decision-making process for incident waste management. Instructions for using I-WASTE and associated technical documentation describing the technology architecture are also included.
