Impact/Purpose:
This report, and associated tabletop exercise, were developed to increase awareness sample plan development for biological incidents. Sampling plans have trade-offs regarding cost, time, and probability of contaminant detection. The TOTS tool exercised herein helps users understand these and how they relate to one another.
Description:
Report outlining the Trade-off Tool for Sampling (TOTS) and a tabletop exercise conducted to gather potential end-user input into refining the tool. TOTS is designed to help incident commanders and emergency respondents develop sampling strategies that meet the time, resources, and constraints of the mission.
