Description:
Children are more vulnerable to exposures from their everyday environments compared to adults. Children from Tribal communities have a greater burden of adverse health and well-being outcomes versus children from other communities in the U.S. (US DHHS 2016). Stressors from children’s everyday environments (e.g., home, school, play areas) may contribute to differences in their exposures and health and well-being outcomes. Exposure to conditions around children’s school environments can have implications for children’s well-being and their continued development.
