Description:
EPA's Environmental Technology Verification Program has tested New Condensator Inc.'s Condensator Diesel Engine Retrofit Crankcase Ventilation System. Brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), the ratio of engine fuel consumption to the engine power output, was evaluated for engine emissions of NOX, PM, THC, CO, CO2, and CH4. The test found that installation of the condensator did not result in statistically significant changes in the test engine's BSFC. PM emissions were reduced but other test targets were essentially unchanged from the engine tests without condensator.
