| Facility Description: |
natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant at a greenfield site in Carson County, Texas. The new power plant will operate under the name Fermi America Project Matador (Project Matador). Sources include 90 turbines configured to operate in combined cycle mode, 3 turbines configured to operate in simple cycle mode, 16 cooling towers, six emergency generator engines, two black start engine generators, two fire pump engines, four diesel storage tanks, 93 lube oil recirculation vents, piping component fugitive emissions, and turbine maintenance, startup, and shutdown (MSS) activities. Project Matador will provide electricity to an on-site hyperscale data center campus designed for next-generation data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The Project’s power generation will be used solely onsite, and the Project will not sell electricity to the local utility power distribution system. |
