Abstract The study aids in the development of methodologies and tools to assist in streamlining the Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS) and selection of remedy process for landfills. The study: (1) develops tools to assist in scoping the RI/FS for municipal landfill sites, (2) defines strategies for characterizing municipal landfill sites that are on the NPL, and (3) identifying practicable remedial action alternatives for addressing these types of sites.
