Abstract |
The document is concerned with earthquakes as a threat to public safety and welfare in a significant portion of the United States. The regulations prohibits hazardous waste management facilities from locating within 200 feet of a fault which has had displacement in Holocene Line (Approximately the Last 11,000 years). Such a fault is therefore referred to as a holocene fault within this document. These facilities required to comply with this regulation are to demonstrate that the facility is not within 200 feet of a holocene fault. |
