Abstract |
This document presents an imaginary game in which the player's mission is to protect the groundwater from contamination. Background on the importance of groundwater and the water cycle are provided. The document also describes how serious the problem is, regional variations, methods of cleaning up groundwater contamination, and preventing contamination of the groundwater. The 'Games' Section lists various sources of groundwater contamination and elicits responses from the students on how to reduce the groundwater contamination. Also included is a chart of household hazardous wastes and associated acceptable disposal methods. |
