Abstract |
It is clear that only the most effective design and operation of pollution control facilities will be adequate to ensure continued protection of this Nation's natural resources. It is essential that the authors achieve the maximum performance possible of existing Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTWs) to achieve maximum benefit from their expenditures. The purpose of the Handbook is to provide POTW owners/administrators and the engineering community with a new source of information to be used in improving the performance of POTWs through application of the Composite Correction Program (CCP) approach. It is the intent of the manual to supplement the existing body of knowledge in this area. |
