Contents Notes |
Presents preliminary results of an investigation of cyanobacteria (a type of phytoplankton particularly sensitive to copper) in San Francisco Bay. Shows that cyanobacteria are present in the bay, though at much higher abundance in the north bay than in the more copper-impacted south bay. Given the Bay's copper concentration, the findings of these sensitive organisms is somewhat of a surprise to scientists. |
