| Abstract |
The study focuses on the decisional behavior of shoreline pre-development landowners. Analyzing the factors involved in landowner decisions to hold, develop, or sell shoreline land produces the foundation for an operational forecast model which will provide public officials with a tool to differentiate landowner types in order to apply a micro planning strategy to the shoreline land development process. Five multipurpose reservoirs in North Carolina have provided the field data for the statistical analyses of the decisions of predevelopment landowners. (Author) |
