Abstract |
Contamination of the atmosphere by gaseous, liquid, and solid components generated by anthropogenic emissions has been known for more than a century. Some of these pollutants, namely ozone (O3) and sulfur dioxide (SO2), are known to affect the growth, development, and yield of crops. The purpose of the article is to describe some aspects of the phytotoxicity of acidic precipitation and to propose some improvements in experimental approaches in order to develop accurate dose-response functions. |
