Abstract |
Plant and bench studies were conducted on a highly colored surface water using Alum and Polyvalent Aluminum Chloride (PAC1) coagulation to minimize THMPF. Optimum coagulation pH and dose were identified by season for Alum and PAC1 for color, DOC, THMPF and TOXFP removal. Aluminum residual following coagulation was monitored. Cost of trihalomethane reduction by each coagulant was determined. |
