Abstract |
This report provides a detailed analysis of the policy options for recognizing and granting credit for sustainable land use activities in light of some specific control measures. There are three general options for recognizing and providing credit for sustainable land use activities in the air quality planning process: (1) modify procedures for quantifying emissions in the SIP baseline so that the benefits of sustainable land use are better reflected; (2) adopt sustainable land use activities as a SIP control measure; and (3) show emissions reductions from sustainable land use activities to support a transportation conformity determination. |
