The purpose was to inventory and assess the plans to meet the fresh water needs of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Over 30 fresh water related plans and studies involving the three coastal counties (Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock) were identified through literature review and contacts with the various planning agencies and governmental units.
