| Abstract |
In accordance with API's policy of providing the federal government with copies of research designed to determine whether any chemical substance or mixture manufactured, processed or distributed by API member companies may cause risk of injury to health or the environment, we are enclosing a copy of the following report: Draft results of the Developmental Toxicity Exposure Range-Finding Studies of Commercial Hexane Vapor in Mice and Rats. The preliminary findings of this pilot study will be further explored in the definitive developmental toxicity study scheduled to begin shortly. As recommended by the testing laboratory, we have decided to use the same concentrations of commercial hexane, namely, 00, 900, 3000, and 9000 ppm in our definitive study. |
