Abstract |
Three basic methods of controlling emissions from process operations in crushed stone plants are described - dry captive systems using fabric filters, wet suppression systems, and combinations of these. Operational problems with these systems associated with plant portability and product size are discussed. Examples of good design practices and maintenance procedures for these control options are covered. An electrostatic charged fog technique for control of small dust particles is described and operational problems listed. A second part analyzes the downwind effects of reducing emissions for worker safety. |
