Abstract |
Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is a widely used technique for the identification of organic chemicals in water. This paper describes the gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer system, the preparation and separation of samples, the selection of ionizing processes, the integration of a computerized identification system, and the interpretation of mass spectra to identify organic chemicals. |
