Abstract |
If water containing suspended solids is passed through a layer of porous media, some of the suspended and colloidal material are partially removed. This process is called filtration and its efficiency and cost is a function of design. The criteria of importance which must be considered in design involve finding the operational optimum filter design characteristics, and the economic optimum filter design. The report describes, and studies the design and economics of filters. |
