Abstract |
A field study was conducted to evaluate the use of molecular sieves for collection of NOx (NO + NO2) emissions from utility boilers. It was found that NOx could be collected efficiently (99%) at sample flow rates of 1 L/min over 20- to 40-min sampling periods at the NOx levels encountered in modern utility boilers. The removal of the stack gas moisture by use of an impinger train or condenser ahead of the sample train was shown to be necessary for efficient NOx collection. |
