Abstract |
The report gives the results of a survey of stationary reciprocating engines in the United States, conducted to compile the following information: (1) types and applications of engines; (2) typical pollutant emissions factors for diesel, dual fuel, and natural gas engines; (3) differences between engines that cause emissions to vary; (4) total horsepower and emissions from engines; (5) pollution potential of stationary engines in densely populated regions; and (6) potential emissions control techniques. Where appropriate, the survey includes gas turbines. (Modified author abstract) |
Highlights Notes |
Investigates the contribution of stationary engines to air pollution and explores potential control techniques. |
