Abstract |
The broad objective was to determine the relationships between saline concentration and the rate of evaporation of brine solutions. Relationships thus established would be applicable to evaporation design problems in brine storage reservoirs that have been proposed for abatement of natural and man-made salt pollution of major portions of the waters of Arkansas and Red Rivers whereby the effluent from highly concentrated brine springs, marshes and salt flats would be stored and ultimately evaporated, if possible.
