Abstract |
This paper is about the use of biological markers in the quantitative analysis of the health risks that may follow from exposure to environmental contaminants. That is, it emphasizes the application of data on biomarkers to address questions that arise in the context of quantitatively relating exposures to their toxic effects. To provide the context for these comments, a brief review of the general framework of risk assessment is also provided. |
