Abstract |
An operational efficiency study of the District of Columbia Water Pollution Control Plant was made on November 9, 10, and 11, 1966. The purpose of the study was to verify the results of a daily composite sampling program carried out by the District of Columbia Department of Sanitary Engineering in order to establish the reliability of this data as input to a mathematical model of the Potomac Estuary. Total phosphates were also measured in order to determine the operational efficiency of a conventionally operated, large activated sludge plant in removing this nutrient. |
