Abstract |
The document examines the potential human health and cancer risks for fetuses, infants and children posed by disinfectants and disinfectant byproducts (D/DBP) cited in the Final State 1 D/DBP Rule. Criteria used in reviewing individual chemicals and chemicals groups include: developmental/reproductive effects, systemic effects, carcinogenicity and children's risk in relation to the Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG). The report concludes that the MCLG for all the D/DBPs in the Stage 1 D/DBP Rule are protective of fetuses, infants and children. |
