Abstract |
The State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions demonstrating attainment of the Carbon Monoxide (CO) National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) are required under the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. Urban areawide modeling and intersection modeling are recommended to address attainment of the CO NAAQS. The Urban Airshed Model (UAM) has been identified as an effective urban areawide model for evaluating emission control requirements needed to attain the CO NAAQS. The purpose of the document is to provide guidance in the procedures used to apply the UAM for CO SIP attainment demonstrations. |
