Abstract |
LONGZ is designed to calculate the long-term pollutant concentration produced at a large number of receptors by emissions from multiple stack, building, and area sources. LONGZ uses statistical wind summaries to calculate long-term (seasonal or annual) average concentrations. The model is applicable in areas of both flat and complex terrain, including areas where terrain elevations exceed stack-top elevations. The program requires random-access mass storage capability. SHORTZ is designed to calculate the short-term pollutant concentration produced at a large number of receptors by emissions from multiple stack, building, and area sources. It uses sequential short term (usually hourly) meteorological inputs to calculate concentrations for averaging times ranging from 1 hour to 1 year. The model is applicable in areas of both flat and complex terrain, including areas where terrain elevations exceed stack-top elevations. The program requires random-access mass storage capability. An associated compatible meteorological data processor is METZ. |
Supplementary Notes |
Language: FORTRAN. Ready for uploading to an IBM model 3090 computer. This cannot be used on a PC since the program requires random-access mass storage capability. Supersedes PB83-146118 and PB90-500265. |
Availability Notes |
The software is on two 3 1/2 inch DOS diskettes, 1.44M high density. Documentation included; may be ordered separately as PB83-146092, PB83-146100, and PB86-244878. |
