Abstract |
The paper reviews the procedures used during the investigation of the Carrollton Water Filtration Plant in February, 1987, at the time of a waterborne outbreak caused by Cryptosporidium. Recommendations for improvements in equipment and operating procedures are given, and the changes made are described. Information is presented on present water quality vs. quality before the outbreak. Improvements to the 8 MGD plant have cost about $300,000. |
