| Abstract |
The report is intended to furnish information on the current status of water pollution control in the California Basins, pending completion of comprehensive programs for elimination or reduction of pollution for the 13 Sub-basins in the Basins. Data are presented on the sources of pollution, the uses to which the water resources are being put, and the general condition of these waters. An estimate has been made of the adequacy of the existing treatment facilities and of the need for new treatment works, as well as for additions and extensions to existing facilities.
