Abstract |
The paper presents an overview of the research activities conducted by the U.S. EPA Remedial Action Program during the period of 1984 through September 1987. Special emphasis is placed on in-situ and on-site technologies which utilize chemical techniques to minimize the migration of contaminants from uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. The subjects discussed include: delivery and recovery technologies; chemical treatment of metals; chemical treatment of organics and inorganics; and immobilization by chemical means. |
