Abstract The Record of Decision presents the selected remedial action for the Green River Disposal Landfill site, located in Maceo, Daviess County, Kentucky. Based on the findings of the Remedial Investigation and Risk Assessment, three problem areas of the site requiring a cleanup remedy are: the landfill waste; leachate; and contaminated sediment in the sedimentation pond and unnamed intermittent stream. The Record of Decision does not provide a final determination on groundwater quality at the site or provide a basis for selecting a groundwater remedy. EPA will require additional groundwater monitoring to sufficiently determine groundwater quality at the site and conclusively establish the landfill's impact to the groundwater.
