Abstract |
Water is not unique as to its role in resource problems. It must be measured in terms of the most important of all natural resources. Our nation is one of changing social and physical conditions, and it is axiomatic that we continue to explore the crucial role of all facets in the planning of water-resources development. Legislation is the key to planning so that authority and responsibility may properly be delegated for harmonious effort in the allocation and utilization of our water resources. For this reason, it is critical to the study to review the status of water law in Alabama. With this background, the analysis of current activities of Alabama agencies charged with management of water and related land resources will then be more meaningful. (Author) |
