Abstract |
During the past few years several methods have been proposed for the determination of oxygen consumed values of organic wastes. There is a definite need for a better oxygen consumed method for stream sanitation and industrial waste studies. In order to evaluate the various proposed methods a comparative study was made. Four organic compounds which are typical of those to be found in sewage and industrial wastes were used. In addition, a study of four industrial wastes was made. |
