This report defines, on the basis of experimental results, the potential use of Earth Resources Technology Satellites (ERTS) for worldwide disaster or monitoring, describes the techniques used for application of ERTS data to disaster monitoring and analysis, and describe problems and recommends solutions so as to arrive at an operational disaster monitoring capability. |
