Abstract |
The California Line Source dispersion model, CALINE, can be used to predict carbon monoxide concentrations near highways and arterial streets given traffic emissions, site geometry and meteorology. The model has adjustments for averaging time and surface roughness, and can handle up to 20 links and 20 receptors. It also contains an algorithm for deposition and settling velocity so that particulate concentrations can be predicted. Software Description: The model is written in the FORTRAN programming language for implementation on an IBM 3090, VAX, or SUN UNIX computer. The model is distributed on a 5 1/4-inch IBM PC-compatible diskette. Data is in compressed format but a dearchive utility is included. |
