| Abstract |
To Safeguard human health and the environment by providing long-term environmental solutions and beneficial use of land by and for the citizens of Illinois. This mission will be accomplished by: Complying with State and Federal statutes; Establishing credibility and trust by implementing decisions based upon sound science and ethical professional judgement; Identifying sites which pose unacceptable risks to human health and the environment through comprehensive environmental investigations; Implementing sound environmental remedies which mitigate unacceptable risks to human health and the environment at these sites; Fostering healthy relationships and mutual respect among stakeholders; and Considering the local values and the environmental perspectives of the citizens of Illinois. |
