| Abstract |
This document is EPA's annual report describing the management of nonhazardous municipal solid waste by the State's solid waste landfills, transfer stations and compost facilities. The report is divided into sections representing Illinois EPA's administrative regions. Region 1 includes Northwestern Illinois counties; Region 2 includes Chicago Metropolitan counties; Region 3 includes Peoria/Quad Cities area counties; Region 4 includes East Central Illinois counties; Region 5 includes West Central Illinois counties; Region 6 includes Metropolitan East St. Louis area counties; and a Region 7 includes Southern Illinois counties. Each regional section includes newly designed specification pages describing the chief physical characteristics of each landfill. Provided are: its location and hours of operation, tipping fee, quantities of wastes received for the last three years, the landfill's certified remaining capacity (in gate cubic yards) for the last two reporting dates, solid waste management fees paid in 2005, the Agency regional field office or delegated local authority that inspects the facility, and the name, address and phone number of the landfill's owner and operator. |
