Abstract Standards of performance to control emissions of particulate matter from new, modified, and reconstructed calciners, dryers, and bleachers in natural process sodium carbonate plants are being proposed under Section III of the Clean Air Act. This document contains information on the sodium carbonate industry and emission control technology, a discussion of the selected emission limits and the supporting data and the alternatives which were considered, and analyses of the environmental and economic impacts of the proposed standards.
