| Abstract |
The report gives details on a study conducted to determine the feasibility of presizing bulky municipal refuse discards before charging them into an incinerator. The discards included overstuffed chairs, sofas, other old furniture, carpets, mattresses, springs, washers, dryers, television cabinets, juke boxes, demolition lumber, tree trunks, and automobile tires. Details are provided on the design and operation of the bulk refuse crusher selected. |
