Abstract This decision document presents the selected action for Operable Unit NSC (OU NSC) at the Bremerton Naval Complex in Bremerton, Washington. The selected remedy for OU NSC includes: controlling access to the Bremerton Naval Complex through security measures such as fences and signs; establishing administrative measures to prohibit use of groundwater from site; implementing deed restrictions to limit future usage of the site; developing a management excavation plan to limit potential contact with, and assure appropriate handling and disposal of, soils excavated during future excavation connected with any construction activity at the site; upgrading site paving to reduce the possibility of contact with contaminated soil and limit the potential for precipitation to transport contaminants from soil to the groundwater; collecting and disposing of sediments and debris accumulated in stormdrain lines serving OU NSC; and conducting environmental monitoring to detect any change in the quality of groundwater at the site.
