Abstract This report summarizes the results of the arsenic occurrence analysis conducted by ISSI Consulting Group and The Cadmus Group, with their subcontractor, ICF Consulting for the USEPA's OGWDW. The estimates of arsenic occurrence presented in this report differ from those presented in other studies because of their strong reliance on existing compliance monitoring data that were voluntarily provided to USEPA and its contractors. In addition, new techniques have been applied to evaluate the statistical distributions of arsenic in drinking water to estimate percentages of regulatory exceedances, to estimate the variability in arsenic levels within systems, and to estimate the relative uncertainty associated with these predictions. This report is organized in seven sections that are relevant to the estimation of arsenic occurrence in drinking water in the United States.
