Abstract |
The results of the evaluation of fluidized bed combustion for steam/power generation are presented in the three-volume report. The research concerns two fluidized bed fuel processing systems which should meet both market requirements and air pollution abatement requirements and are likely to be cheaper than alternative, conventional systems. Volume III contains the following detailed backup reports: Electric utility and Industrial boiler market survey; Development of fluidized bed combustion boilers; Industrial boiler design report; Turndown techniques for atmospheric fluidized bed boilers; Dynamics of atmospheric fluidized bed boilers; Optimization of heat trap system cost; Pressurized boiler design report; Regeneration/sulfur recovery system cost; Pressurized boiler combined cycle plant report; Atmospheric-pressure boiler design report; Boiler burner for low Btu gas; Gas turbine corrosion, erosion, and fouling; and Stack gas cooler design. |
