Abstract |
The report discusses the different kinds of samples to be collected and used for radioactivity determinations in a stream radioactivity survey. Among these are water, mud, plankton, filamentous algae, bottom animals, and fish. Studies have shown that certain radioisotopes may be concentrated to a high degree in some aquatic organisms. Information is desired as to the effect of radioactivity on aquatic animals such as fish or shellfish or on the use of these animals for human food. (Author Modified Abstract) |
