Abstract In 1990, EPA promulgated listings for wastes from wood preserving processes. Many of these wastes are generated by allowing preservative to drip from wood onto concrete pads, called drip pads. To facilitate proper handling of these wastes, EPA developed design and operating standards for drip pads used to manage hazardous wastes. This module defines a drip pad, summarizes the design and operating standards for drip pads and describes the relationship between generator accumulation provisions and drip pads.
